I have a B550-A-Pro and I?m trying to update the bios and I can?t get the file to show up when I?m in mflash. Anyone had that issue as well lately? I?ve tried having it in a folder a zipped folder out of a folder and I?ve tried my flash drive in ever USB port as well. Not sure what to do on this

Commenting here for other folks with this issue to see. But I had three things I had to do: Unplug all USB drives (except keyboard and bios flash drive) ? good tip thanks OP. Switch to HDMI for my monitor Try multiple flash drives. The one I was using initially wouldn?t work with mflash for some reason. Good luck!

I have a b450 tomahawk (non max) with a ryzen 5 3600x. Im using a beta bios from like july of last year and I figured its probably safe to update it now. Should I use the built in M-Flash or use the flashback feature on the back of the board?

Hello I got MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max motherboard together with Ryzen 3 4100 for my brother's PC. Im building it for him next monday and I got quick question. Since on the box of the motherboard it says "Ryzen 3000 series ready" I'm assuming its not ready for 4100 out of box. That means I will have to update BIOS and since I wont have any compatible cpu's I will have to use their M-FLASH ...

Hello I was having the M Flash black screen problem on my MB as well (MSI X470 Gaming Plus). Just like OP the only thing that worked for me was pulling out the M.2 NVME drive. Also important to note that I changed the name of the file to MSI.ROM and that made it not work so I had to put the file back onto the flashdrive with its original name in order for it to work properly.
