Right-click it and look for an option like Disable protection Turn off Exit or Pause. Choose an option that disables it for a short period e.g. 10-15 minutes.

 

Instead of purchasing a separate program to protect against each of these threats I recommend just letting the included Threat Protection features in Nord keep you safe.

 

In order to resolve it you need to provide the NordVPN app with the permissions needed: Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Full Disk Access and click on the toggle icon next to NordVPN Threat Protection Pro?.

 

Threat Protection Pro? works without being connected to the VPN but you must be connected to one of the NordVPN servers to use the Threat Protection feature.

 

Temporarily disable Threat Protection features for NordVPN applications to see if they?re causing issues: For NordVPN Windows apps and macOS apps downloaded from the NordVPN website disable NordVPN Threat Protection Pro?: Click the shield icon on the left side of the NordVPN application.

 

Change the "properties" first stop then disable. Also kill the task in the task manager if its still running. Nord VPN still works without this "Threat Protection" service. There are no dependencies between Nord VPN and Threat protection from what I can tell.
