Inside Postman test scripts you can set environment and global variables using the postman.setEnvironmentVariable and postman.setGlobalVariable functions. You can also access these values using the special environment and globals dictionaries.

For referencing a variable throughout Postman we should use double curly braces around the variable?s name. It automatically fetches the value from different variables as defined.

Under All variables in the variables pane you can view and update variables and vault secrets that are available from your Postman elements. For requests that reference a variable or vault secret select All variables to display all variables and vault secrets a request can access.
