Re: Aftermarket Park Distance Control Just an update for anyone interested. I went with the cheapie PDC from Takealot for +-R250 and installed it myself. Kit comes with a holesaw for the bumper. I did not even have to remove the bumper. Took me less than 2 hours to install all told.

 

I won't recommend buying any of these stuff from sites such as TakeAlot or AliBaba or because of quality and/or does not come with all the necessary parts included. /edit: I see you are in Paarl so there is a possibility of getting such a shop in your area - ask Novel Ford Paarl.

Do any of you have a dash cam installed in your Jimny? I used to use my phone to record video in my Gen 3 back in the day. Since then there has been marvelous advancements in dashboard cameras. The issue I had using my phone is vibration on the phone bracket which caused distortion in the video. Hi everyone. I'm looking at replacing one of my 100AH deep cycle lead acid batteries with this one. A couple of questions: - anyone with experience of this battery? - Is GEL much better than LA? - Is the charging system for GEL and LA the same - do I need to do any mods? - Can I mix GEL and LA batteries on the same system? Takealot pee'd you off don't order from them again and save yourself the rant. All businesses have SOPs. Live with theirs live is to short to get upset because someone doesn't want to play it your way. Maybe rant wasn't the right word.

 

Re: Takealot Pickup Points Ordered friday afternoon Saturday 1pm they confirmed ready for pickup and went to collect just before 5pm. SMS stated collect before 30th so seems you get 10days to collect.

 

Re: Takealot - Price changes of items in your cart A item in your cart means nothing to be fair. Google what you want click on the shopping tab see the prices from all retailers and pick the cheapest. I also use the Serval Tracker quite a bit very useful. Prices are changed regularly based of search hits popularity and by 3rd party sellers.

 

Takealot delivery times Have other takealot regulars also noticed their promised delivery times have increased? They normally still deliver in the promised time but where previously it would have been in 1-2 days now the promised delivery times is more like 5-7 days.
